Understanding Technology
Maximizing Web ROI
How does an organization maximize their web Return On Investment (ROI)?
Imagine for a moment three circles with the following names: business, web site and search engines.
Now think for a moment about what would happen if the web site accurately represented the business; and expand
this idea by considering what would happen if the information in the major search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo,
MSN and Ask) contained the current web site information (which again, accurately represented the business).
Imagine you are looking thru trinoculars (like binoculars, except with three lenses), and consider how
clear the picture becomes when the three circles are focused together.
At The Information Age, Inc.
our whole approach to designing, managing and updating web sites is to provide our services in lock-step
with synchronizing (propagating) the business and web site information into the major search engines.
More accurately, we use our eSWOT (eBusiness Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) Analysis process to
understand a business from an eBusiness perspective. We then utilize our eXpert Commerce technologies to deploy
web sites that accurately represent our customers' businesses. And we use our Search Engine Propagation
technologies to synchronize our customers' web site content with the major search engines (primarily Google,
Yahoo, MSN and Ask).
The following diagram provides a visual of our services delivery:
We have found that Web ROI increases dramatically when the web site and search engines are
using the same information, which (again) accurately represents the business!
Additionally, we have found that Web ROI increases again when web sites are promoted (i.e.
Promotion in the diagram above)
thru community-based portal web sites which happen to be well-propagated into the major search engines.
Yet with increased visibility and traffic comes one negative characteristic, SPAM! At
The Information Age, Inc. we
created and we offer the eBlockade
service to effectively eliminate all SPAM.
Consider visiting the following community-based portal web sites::
