As first reported locally by The Information Age, The City of Carrollton Police Department confirmed today they had found and recovered a body believed to be missing, former University of West Georgia student Marcelle `Marcy` Elliott.
Not a Stranger to Stranger Crime Carrollton, Georgia residents Farrah Strength and Joshua Clay have been arrested and charged with murder in the case, following what police made clear was not a `Stranger to Stranger` crime. Evidently Farrah Strength lured Ms. Elliott back to Carrollton from Cobb County with the intent to do her harm.
According to police, the Elliott was registered at the University of West Georgia this past Spring Semester, but had moved back to Cobb County, Georgia to live with her parents.
While Farrah Strength and Elliott had been good friends in the past, Strength used the guise of returning books to Elliott to lure her back to Carrollton. According to sources, the murder occurred at 530 Lovvorn Road in Carrollton, Georgia, but the body was then dumped about 50 feet off of Laurel Road in rural Carroll County, Georgia next to a small creek.
